You can sell a quad bike in Surrey without loading it yourself. There are no premises in the county. We drive over from Kent to wherever it's stored, whether that's a livery yard or a house in Woking.

GU in the west, CR on the Kent side

GU is the west and south-west. That's Guildford and Woking down to Farnham. Godalming and Cranleigh are GU as well. KT covers the north of the county around Epsom. RH covers Reigate and Redhill. Dorking and Oxted are RH too. The CR fringe brings in Caterham and Warlingham.

What Surrey's estates and yards sell

Surrey has fewer big arable farms than Kent. It has far more estates and riding stables, and a lot of golf courses, and that shows in what comes up for sale. Running or not, we'll look at it.

Keepering in the Surrey Hills

The Surrey Hills stretch along the North Downs and the greensand ridge, from Farnham past Box Hill and Leith Hill to Oxted. Shoots and estates there use side-by-sides to carry guns and beaters, or feed for the pens. Those machines are usually well looked after, which lifts what we can pay.

Livery yards and riding stables

Surrey keeps a lot of horses. Yards run small UTVs and quads to shift muck and hay and to drag a harrow round the arena, and on those machines low hours and a tidy load bed make a real difference to the figure we send.

Grounds teams and golf clubs

Greenkeepers and grounds staff rely on utility vehicles like the John Deere Gator TX. One or a whole fleet. If a club or company is selling, we'll ask for proof that the person dealing with us can sell on its behalf.

Cranleigh and the Surrey Weald

South of the hills the land drops into the Weald. Smaller livestock farms there still run traditional farm quads for checking stock and fencing.

Along the M25 and A25 into Surrey

Collection in Surrey is free and we come to you, with the day agreed once you've accepted our offer and had a chance to check when you'll actually be at the yard. East Surrey is the quickest for us. The Farnham side, out towards Hampshire, sometimes needs a little extra notice.

From Sevenoaks and Swanley to the Surrey junctions

We join the M25 near Sevenoaks or Swanley and head west. Godstone is the first junction that matters. Further round come Reigate and Leatherhead, then the A3 at Wisley for the Guildford side. For the villages under the Downs we use the A25, which runs all the way from Oxted to Guildford. On the way it passes through Redhill and Reigate. Dorking too.
