ME14 to ME18, from Boxley to Barming

ME14 is Bearsted and Detling on the north-east side, with Boxley under the hill. ME15 is Loose plus the big estates at Shepway and Park Wood. ME16? Barming and Allington, west of the river. ME17 is the big rural one, starting at Coxheath and running out through Sutton Valence to Lenham, while ME18 takes in the valley villages upstream of the town, Yalding among them.

M20 junctions 5 to 8 run along the north of the town. The A249 climbs Detling Hill past the Kent Showground. From the A229 we can head north to Blue Bell Hill or south to Staplehurst, and the A20 takes us east to Lenham while the A26 goes west towards Tonbridge.

Downland tracks and ME17 packhouse yards
