DA11 to DA13, and Higham's ME3

That's how many e-bikes and e-scooters had been seized in the borough since the start of July when Gravesham Borough Council reported in August 2026, working with Kent Police under a new borough-wide Public Space Protection Order and section 59 powers. Over 20 had already been crushed. Gravesend and Northfleet are mostly town, so the machine for sale here is often an electric dirt bike, and with nowhere legal to ride one, selling it is the sensible choice.

Most Sur-Ron, Talaria, Stark Varg and E Ride Pro models are not road legal. They're for private land with the landowner's permission, and tracks. We never suggest riding a non-road-legal bike on public roads.

Farm quads from Meopham and Cobham

South of the A2 it's proper farmland. Quads there get used for crop walking and fencing, or for checking stock.

Farmland south of the A2, Cobham to Vigo

Cross the A2 and the town gives way to open chalk farmland with orchards and woods in it. Cobham Hall's parkland is just south of the road. So is Shorne Woods Country Park. Beyond them the Downs rise towards Vigo.

Round Meopham and Sole Street the farms grow arable crops and fruit. Cobham too. Up at Vigo and Culverstone the land gets steeper and more wooded. Smallholdings and horse paddocks up there are hard on brakes and tyres. That's fine. Tell us the hours and what's fitted, and whether the 4WD works.

Shorne Marshes and the Gravesend riverside

North of the town the Thames riverside and Shorne Marshes are grazing marsh for stock and wildlife. Nobody should be riding there. On every Gravesham sale we look at your photo ID and your V5C or bill of sale. The frame number gets compared. You're paid before anything is loaded.

Roads through Gravesham

Ebbsfleet International sits just off the A2, which crosses the south of Gravesend. The A226 is the old road through the town, from Northfleet through Chalk to Shorne and on towards Strood. The A227 runs south from the centre through Istead Rise and Meopham to Vigo and Wrotham.

A lock-up in town works. So does a barn at Meopham. Non-runners are winched on, and e-bikes can go from a flat or a shared car park.
