What Kent's farms and towns sell us

Kent Police and the 2026 section 59 change
Police can seize a vehicle used in a way that causes alarm, distress or annoyance under the Police Reform Act, section 59. Officers used to have to give a warning first. The Crime and Policing Act 2026 dropped that step (section 8), in force from 29 June 2026 under the first commencement regulations. Kent Police publishes its own seizure policy, O35c. This year councils have joined police in operations against nuisance bikes in Maidstone and in Gravesham. In February Kent Police ran a three-day one across Medway.
Where Kent riders can go: private land or a track
That means land whose owner has agreed, or an organised track. Roads, pavements, cycle paths, bridleways, country parks and public woodland are all off limits.
