Most Sur-Ron and Talaria models are not road legal. They're for private land with the landowner's permission and for tracks. We never suggest riding a non-road-legal bike on public roads. Read the rules.

Off Road Buyers is a Kent-based team of quad bike and UTV buyers. We also buy Gators, buggies and electric dirt bikes from private owners, farms and businesses. We are the buyer. We're not a dealer, an auction house or a scrap yard. There's no advert to write, no viewings and no haggling on the drive. You describe the machine, we name a price, and if you accept we arrive with a trailer.

From Honda to CFMOTO: the quad makes we buy
Any mainstream quad brand is welcome. These seven come up most often.
- Honda quads: TRX 420 FourTrax Rancher, TRX 500 Foreman and Rubicon, and older FourTrax models.
- Yamaha quads: Grizzly and Kodiak workhorses, plus Raptor and YFZ450R sports models.
- Kawasaki quads: Brute Force, KLF Bayou and the KFX sports line.
- Suzuki quads: chiefly the KingQuad, in 400, 500 and 750 form.
- Polaris quads: the Sportsman family, 450 through to 1000.
- Can-Am quads: Outlander, Outlander MAX and Renegade.
- CFMOTO quads: CFORCE 450, 520, 625, 850 and 1000.

Selling a Sur-Ron, Talaria or Stark Varg
A Sur-Ron such as a Light Bee X, Storm Bee or Ultra Bee, a Talaria (Sting and XXX), a Stark Varg or an E Ride Pro is priced on its model and year, how healthy the battery is, whether the charger is included and what has been altered. Modified bikes are fine if you list every change.
E-bikes go through the same checks as a farm quad: proof you own it, the frame number compared with your paperwork, and payment by bank transfer before the bike leaves your hands.
Most Sur-Ron, Talaria, Stark Varg and E Ride Pro models are not road legal. They're for private land with the landowner's permission, and tracks. We never suggest riding a non-road-legal bike on public roads.

Money first, trailer second
The order never changes: we send a bank transfer, you see it arrive in your account, and only then do we load. No cheque waiting to clear, no promise that the money will follow on Monday, and no courier with a story about who's paying.
Three things are checked before any payment: your photo ID, your proof of ownership (the V5C logbook, or the dealer invoice or receipt for an unregistered machine) and the frame or VIN stamped on the machine. Those checks are what let us pay on the spot. The full sequence is set out in our step-by-step selling process.
Nothing is charged. The offer, the collection and the transfer are all free. When the machine matches your description, the agreed figure is what you receive. If it doesn't, we show you what's different and you can decline without paying anything.
Five minutes of prep before you ask
A little groundwork gets you a firmer number. Note the hours from the dash, or the mileage on an e-bike's display. Find the stamped frame number and take a clear photo of it. Dig out the logbook, the dealer invoice or the order email, and round up every key and, for an electric bike, the charger.
Then take daylight photos from each side, one of the dash with the ignition on and close-ups of any damage. Be upfront about faults, warning lights or a slipping belt. The more we know before we arrive, the less chance there is of the figure moving on the day.
When a private sale pays more
We aren't always the route to the top price. A tidy, sought-after machine, owned by someone with time for adverts, calls and viewings, can fetch more privately than any trade buyer will pay, and we'll tell you so. We weigh up each route in private sale, auction or trade: which pays best.
What we offer instead is certainty: one figure, no strangers on your drive, no faked payment screenshots and a collection day that suits you. Farms, estates and clubs selling several machines
Plenty of our enquiries aren't one quad in a garage. A farm switching from quads to a pair of side-by-sides, an estate replacing its keepering fleet, or a golf club retiring worn utility vehicles can list everything in one enquiry, and we'll price the lot together and collect in one visit where the trailer allows.
When a business rather than a person owns the machines, we ask for evidence that the business owns them and for confirmation that you can sell on its behalf. Farm partnerships and limited companies are routine for us, and a machine being unregistered is normal on a farm, so an invoice or dealer record does the job of a V5C.
Cabs, winches, sprayers, ploughs and tow hitches can be included in the price if they go with the machine. Leave them fitted, mention them in the form, and they'll be reflected in the figure you see.

Selling your quad or UTV: common questions
When does the money reach my account?
On collection day, before loading. We send a bank transfer and wait while you confirm it has arrived.
Do you take any fees off the price?
None. The offer, the collection and the payment cost you nothing, and we don't take admin charges off the agreed price.
Which documents should I have ready?
Photo ID, plus the V5C if the machine is registered or the original invoice or receipt if it isn't. On the day we also compare the stamped frame or VIN with that paperwork.
Can I sell a quad or UTV that's still on finance?
Yes. Get a settlement figure from your lender, we clear it directly, and you receive whatever is left.
Will you take a machine that won't start?
Yes: non-runners, crash damage, seized engines and spares-or-repair machines. The figure reflects its state, and collection stays free.
Can I sell a UTV that never had a number plate?
No. Plenty of farm UTVs and off-road e-bikes have never had a number plate. The purchase invoice or other proof you bought it does the same job.
What decides the figure you offer?
Make, model, year, hours or mileage, condition, paperwork and what comparable machines are fetching at the moment. Good photos help us firm it up.
Could the price change when you see the machine?
Only if it differs from what you described. If it matches, the price holds. If we spot something unmentioned, we explain it and you can say no at no cost.
