How we price a Stark Varg
Battery condition and cover left
Most of a Varg's value sits in the pack. How old is it? How do you charge and store it? And is any of Stark's battery warranty left?
Standard or Alpha
Alphas cost more new and usually fetch more used. Your invoice shows which one you bought.
The Arkenstone dash
Both the Android phone that runs the bike's settings and the charger belong with the Varg. Without them it's worth less.
Race use and servicing
Raced bikes are welcome. Send the service records, suspension work included. Then tell us how it's been used.
Crash damage and aftermarket parts
Bent bars and cracked plastics are priced in. So are non-standard parts. Clear photos mean nothing changes on collection day.
Stark invoice and frame number
An invoice in your name matching the frame number, plus the V5C on a registered EX or SM.
The Varg range, in short
To sell your Stark Varg we need two answers: which model, and which power tier. Stark Future is a Spanish firm. Its Varg sits well above a Sur-Ron on size and power, and on price.
Varg MX: the track bike
The first Varg and Stark's motocross machine. Standard bikes peak at 60hp and the Alpha at 80hp, and power can be dialled down to 10hp through the Arkenstone, the rugged Android phone that locks in as the dash. Current bikes are the MX 1.2, with no road equipment at all.
Varg EX: road-legal enduro
Stark's first factory road-legal bike, launched in December 2024. It carries a 7.2kWh battery and has the lights and horn the road needs, plus a plate holder. An 18-inch rear wheel lets it run road-legal tyres. Standard is 59bhp and Alpha 79bhp. Once registered, it has a V5C.
Varg SM: road-legal supermoto
Same idea on road wheels and tyres. It comes as standard or Alpha too, and it's built to be registered in the UK.
Why a Varg is priced differently
A Varg costs a lot more than most e-motos, and that changes what we look at.
Battery before anything else
Stark gives new bikes a battery warranty. Whether leftover cover transfers on resale depends on Stark's terms for your bike, so bring the purchase paperwork and service records and we'll check. Raced Vargs are fine
We buy them. Tell us about any crash or repair, and any part that's been replaced, so the figure fits the bike you actually have.
Keep the Varg kit together

Paperwork for a Varg sale
Before we pay for a Varg, we check who you are, and that the frame number matches your proof of ownership. Clean paperwork means a better price.
Documents to dig out
- Photo ID in the name on the invoice or V5C.
- Your order confirmation or invoice from Stark or the dealer.
- For a registered EX or SM, the V5C.
- A photo of the frame number stamped on the frame. Can't find it? Send photos of the headstock area and we'll help locate it.
Bought it second-hand? See proving ownership when you bought privately. Still on finance? We clear the lender first and send you the remainder.
When we'd have to say no
Without evidence that you bought or own it, we can't take a Varg. Frame numbers that are missing or have been ground off or altered rule a bike out too. So does a police seizure or investigation.

Where a Varg can be ridden
Most Sur-Ron, Talaria, Stark Varg and E Ride Pro models are not road legal. They're for private land with the landowner's permission, and tracks. We never suggest riding a non-road-legal bike on public roads.
An EX or SM is built road legal, but it can't use the road until it's registered, and after that it has to be taxed and insured like any motorcycle, with a rider who holds the right licence. The MX never can. Our guide on electric dirt bike law in the UK covers the rules in more depth.

Stark Varg sellers ask
Does the power version matter?
It does. An Alpha (80hp on the MX) usually fetches more than the 60hp standard bike. Your invoice shows which you bought.
Do you buy Vargs used for racing?
We do. Crash damage and wear are priced in openly, and turning the figure down costs you nothing.
Is the battery warranty transferable?
That depends on Stark's terms for your bike. Bring the purchase and service paperwork and we'll check what cover, if any, is left.
Can I sell a Varg if I've lost the Stark invoice?
Possibly. A bank record of the payment can stand in, or the order email. We compare the frame number against whatever you send.
Do I need to include the Arkenstone?
Please do. It's the dash and runs the settings, so a Varg without one is worth less.
