Selling a quad bike in Tonbridge and Paddock Wood
To sell a quad bike in Tonbridge or Paddock Wood, send a few details and photos. Fruit-farm quads and Gators are the typical machines from this valley. Town e-bikes too. Running or not, collection is free.
TN9 to TN12 round the castle and beyond
TN9 is the town centre and the streets south of it. North Tonbridge, up towards Higham Wood, is TN10. TN11 is the rural ring round the town: Hildenborough, Leigh, Penshurst, Hadlow, Golden Green and Tudeley. TN12 takes in Paddock Wood and East Peckham. Five Oak Green and Capel too.
West to Penshurst, east to Beltring
Hildenborough and Leigh lie west of town. Penshurst and Chiddingstone Causeway are further out in the Medway and Eden valleys. East of town it's Hadlow and Golden Green, then East Peckham. The road to Paddock Wood runs through Tudeley and Five Oak Green. Beltring is just beyond.
What comes out of the Tonbridge area
Gators and quads from Hadlow's hop and fruit farms
East of town the valley is orchards and hop gardens. Those farms work Gators and quads hard. Crates get moved and sprayers get towed all season. Hadlow sits right in the middle, and so does Hadlow College, which is Kent's only land-based college. Cabbed diesels such as the Gator XUV 865M are built for exactly this work.
Estate UTVs round Penshurst and Leigh
Estate teams round Penshurst and Leigh use side-by-sides for fencing and forestry, and on shoot days. Anything from a Kawasaki Mule to a cabbed Polaris Ranger.
E-bikes from Tonbridge town
Sur-Rons and Talarias come to us from the town, some stock, some modified. Haysden Country Park is public land. So are the riverside paths. Neither is somewhere to ride one.
Most Sur-Ron, Talaria, Stark Varg and E Ride Pro models are not road legal. They're for private land with the landowner's permission, and tracks. We never suggest riding a non-road-legal bike on public roads.
Paddock Wood and the East Peckham hop gardens
Paddock Wood grew up around the railway and the hop trade. The oast houses dotted across this stretch of valley are the reminder. At Beltring the Hop Farm, with its row of oasts, is an events venue now, while the farms around it still grow fruit and hops.
Why Paddock Wood shares the Tonbridge page
Same country, same collection run. Paddock Wood is served from here, as is East Peckham.
When a Medway valley farm changes hands
Tenancies end. Farms get sold. If that means clearing a Gator plus two quads in one go, fine. Every machine needs its own proof. For a registered one that's the V5C. For the rest it's the original invoice or the dealer's receipt. We check every frame number or VIN, and if there's money owed on one we pay the finance company first and give you the balance.
Down the A21 to Tonbridge and Paddock Wood
Roads round Tonbridge
The A21 bypasses the town to the east, linking the M25 with Tunbridge Wells. The A26 runs north through Hadlow towards Maidstone and south to Tunbridge Wells, the A227 heads north to Borough Green, and the A228 links Paddock Wood with East Peckham and on towards West Malling.
Wet ground between Leigh and East Peckham
The Medway flood plain gets very wet in winter. Machine in a low field? Tell us, and we'll choose a firm spot or a drier day. Non-runners are winched on as normal.
Where Tonbridge's page stops
Tunbridge Wells lies south down the A26 and Sevenoaks north-west up the A21. West Malling and Kings Hill have their own page to the north. If you want to know who does the buying, start there. Otherwise read how a Tonbridge sale runs and see what we've bought before you get a Tonbridge offer.

Photos and the hours, mainly. Then say where it lives. In town is fine. So is a farm out Penshurst way.
A firm Tonbridge figure within 24 hours
It's based on what you've shown us. If the machine matches on the day, that's the price we pay.
Collected from your Medway valley yard or garage
We check your ID against the V5C or invoice, and both against the frame number. Then the bank transfer. Then loading. A low flood-plain field just needs a firm spot agreed first.
Tonbridge and Paddock Wood questions
Is Paddock Wood covered from the Tonbridge page?
It is, along with Five Oak Green and Capel. Collection is free.
Can you get to a farm on the Medway flood plain in winter?
Usually. If it's too wet for the trailer, we'll agree a firmer spot or a better day.
I'm near Hadlow College. Is that area covered?
It is. Hadlow gets free collection, and so do Golden Green and East Peckham.
Can a Paddock Wood farm business sell us its Gator?
It can. We'll need the invoice or other proof the business owns it, and to see that you're authorised to sell on its behalf.
Do you charge to collect from Penshurst or Leigh?
Neither costs a penny. Collection is free across TN9 to TN12.
