Selling a quad bike round Dover and Deal, CT13 to CT17

Dover itself is CT16 and CT17. That takes in Whitfield and River. Deal is CT14. So is Walmer. Sandwich and Eastry share CT13, and everything in between, from Shepherdswell out to St Margaret's at Cliffe, is CT15. Ash is the odd one out: it has a CT3 postcode but sits in Dover district, so we cover it the same way.

Arable land round Eastry and Ash

Inland from Deal the country opens into big, gently rolling arable fields. On those farms a quad or UTV spends its days crop walking and checking the sprayer, and ferrying kit from one field to the next. High hours are normal. So are clogged air filters. Yards round Eastry and Ash usually have good access for a trailer. Larger farms run full-size side-by-sides, and an XUV 865M that has done years of East Kent harvests is as welcome as a tidy one.

Wetter ground towards Sandwich Bay

Out towards Sandwich Bay the ground drops and gets wetter, so machines from there have usually seen more mud and more salt than the ones kept up on the chalk. Has yours sat in an Eastry barn since last harvest? Just tell us when it last ran.

Walmer garages and the cliffs at St Margaret's

In Deal and Walmer it's more often a family machine. An outgrown kids' quad. A Yamaha Raptor or Honda TRX 450R that nobody rides now. Now and then a Can-Am Maverick buggy under a cover in Kingsdown, and electric dirt bikes too.

Sheep on the chalk at Alkham

Towards Alkham and St Margaret's at Cliffe the chalk steepens, and sheep graze the slopes above the White Cliffs. Quads there work hills. The brakes and tyres show it.

Down the A2 from Canterbury

The A2 comes down from Canterbury past Shepherdswell and Whitfield. From Folkestone the A20 runs in towards the Port of Dover. When port traffic is being held on it, we plan round that. Ringwould is on the A258 between Dover and Deal, and the A256 goes from Whitfield up to Sandwich.
