Where the 835M sits in the petrol XUV line
To sell your John Deere Gator XUV 835M, or a petrol XUV either side of it, start here. The 825i arrived in 2012 with an 812cc fuel-injected three-cylinder. The four-seat 825M S4 carried that engine in a two-row body. Deere introduced the 835 in August 2017 and announced the XUV 845 in 2024.
Petrol makes the 835 lively: the 835R is quoted at 54 hp, where the diesel XUV 865 makes 22.8 hp. That suits estates and leisure owners.
Open frame to HVAC: how cab spec moves the price
After hours, the cab moves a petrol XUV's value more than anything, and the spread is wide. At the bottom is an open frame with a roll bar over the bench. A roof and windscreen keeps your head dry but not your legs. Cab doors bring wind-down windows and often a heater. At the top is the HVAC cab, glazed all round with heating and air con, which the 835R has from the factory.
