South Wales and the valleys
NP is Newport. CF is Cardiff and the valleys above it. SA is the big one. It stretches from Swansea across Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire and up into Ceredigion.
Mid and north Wales
LD is Llandrindod Wells and old Radnorshire. SY covers Aberystwyth and the upper Severn valley round Newtown. LL is the whole north-west, Anglesey included. The CH districts pick up Deeside and Flintshire.
Quads on Welsh hill farms
Most of the quads we're asked about in Wales work on sheep. They go up the hill at lambing several times a day, and in winter they carry feed to ground a pickup can't reach. Steep, wet land is hard on brakes and tyres, so tell us how worn they are. None of it puts us off. Wear is what working machines do.
Side-by-sides and Gators
More farms now keep a side-by-side alongside the quad, with room for a dog and a bale. Honda Pioneers and John Deere Gators come up, and so do Polaris Rangers. List the extras. A roof or a winch adds to the figure.
Some farms along the border keep machines on both sides of it, and for us that changes nothing at all: a quad in a shed on the Shropshire side and one over the line in Powys get the same offer and the same kind of collection day.
Agricultural registration
Plenty of Welsh farm quads are registered in the agricultural tax class. That's fine. There's still a V5C, and we check it against the frame number like any other.
National parks and green lanes
Eryri and Bannau Brycheiniog are full of open access land, but the right to roam there is on foot. Motor vehicles need the landowner's say-so. Green lanes that are open to traffic are for road-legal, registered vehicles only.
Most Sur-Ron, Talaria, Stark Varg and E Ride Pro models are not road legal. They're for private land with the landowner's permission, and tracks. We never suggest riding a non-road-legal bike on public roads.

Over the Severn from Kent
From our base in Kent we take the M4 and cross on the Prince of Wales Bridge, which has been toll-free since 2018. South Wales is a straight run. Pembrokeshire is a long one. Mid and north Wales take longer, so we agree the day with your offer, and collection is free wherever you are in Wales.

Do you collect from mid and north Wales?
We do. Those runs take longer than the M4 corridor, so we agree the day when we send your offer.
My quad is on agricultural registration. Does that matter?
It doesn't. An agricultural quad still has a V5C, and that's what we match to the frame number.
Will you buy a quad that's been parked up since lambing?
Yes. Flat battery or seized brakes, we price it on the photos and bring a winch if it won't drive on.
Do you buy Sur-Rons and Talarias in Wales?
We do. Bring proof of purchase, and make sure the frame number matches it. A photo of the battery screen helps as well.
